What is Haiku?
Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry. A Haiku poem uses just a few words to capture a moment and create a picture in the mind of the reader.
A typical Haiku poem follows a 5-7-5 structure. The entire poem consists of three lines with seventeen syllables in total. The first line features five (5) syllables, the second seven (7), and the third line features five (5) syllables. The traditional focus of a Haiku poem is nature.
